Art in Unexpected Places

A local artist and a local business are participating in a new Craft and Folk Art Museum project. The museum is placing beautiful and curious art objects from museums and collections in unexpected spaces—markets, theaters, coffee shops, bookstores, places where people naturally gather. “Folk Art Everywhere” is designed to promote exploration of Los Angeles’s many cultures and neighborhoods by bringing art into the spaces of daily life.
Figueroa Produce at North Figueroa Street and York Boulevard is showing Artist Sonia Romero’s “Bee Pile” through mid-July. Look for it just inside near the checkout.
