Sunday, October 10, 1-2 p.m., Lauri Mraz, Spinning Wheel Demonstration. Learn how cotton balls of wool become yarn utilizing a spinning wheel created with used bicycle parts.
Saturday, October 16, 12-4 p.m., Beth Elliot, Crocheting Without a Hook Workshop. Crochet a sculpture, toy, rug, costume, cushion etc in a short time with your arm, hands & fingers using found & unconventional materials. No prior experience necessary.
Sunday, October 17, 12-4 p.m., Julie Keehner, Crocheting With Plastic Bags and Crocheting with Beads Workshops. Create a shopping tote using recycled plastic bags and/or learn to crochet using beading wire and beads. Some prior experience helpful, but not necessary.
Saturday, October 23, 12-4 p.m. David Orozco, Hyperbolic Crochet Workshop. Hyperbolic Crochet is where yarn, higher math and the universe meet. Difficult to describe, easy to learn, and then the complexity of the world opens up in your hands. Some prior experience helpful, but not necessary.
